'ZEN Corporation Group' applies strict hygienic production process Group introduces promotions, value set menus, choices to reduce consumers' burden COVID-19 protective measures put in place to safeguard staff

ZEN Corporation Group Public Company Limited (ZEN) applied strict control in its production process from careful selection of raw materials all the way to the hands of the consumers to ensure that every food item leaving ZEN Kitchen was completely safe and hygienic. At the same time, the Group is offering special promotions for economically-priced set menus to increase choices and reduce the consumers’ budget constraints. “ZEN Restaurant” led the way with reasonably-priced Norwegian Salmon promotion, while “Sushi Cyu & Carnival Yakiniku” came up with the “food container – bento” idea to deliver meals direct to the homes of customers in Sukhumvit, Thonglor and Ekamai areas. “On the Table” offers a 25-percent discount for take-home meals, as “Khiang” made-to-order restaurants have resolved to help the front-line personnel against COVID-19 Corona Virus by offering them free pork or chicken gaprao over rice at all 21 branches. At the same time, the Company launched full measures to care for all employees in the face of the COVID-19 threat so that we will all get through this crisis together.

Mr. Boonyong Tansakul, Chief Executive Officer of ZEN Corporation Group Public Company Limited (ZEN) – the food service provider, revealed that the Ministry of Interior’s measures to control the COVID-19 epidemic situation have required the closure of all service providers and businesses that provide similar services including all department stores in order to control the spread of the disease and requiring the consumers to take better care of themselves and eat at home. Therefore, the Company with its 15 brands of restaurants, is ready to serve as the kitchen for consumers and has prioritized the evaluation of the quality of the food and the delivery services to provide peace of mind to the consumers that every food items leaving ZEN kitchens along with the delivery service will be safe and hygienic.

“Currently, the consumers have become more concerned about sanitation and hygiene while the Company has also been giving full attention to this aspect by being vigilant of the entire production process from the selection of raw materials, such as fresh salmon imported from Norway that has been certified hygienic and safe by the Federation of Norwegian Industries that the fish can safely be consumed raw. At the same time, employees are strictly required to wash their hands frequently throughout the day and must wear latex gloves at all times during food preparation. All employees must also wear sanitary masks while working to maintain hygienic condition and provide peace of mind to consumers.”

In addition, the Group has implemented special promotions and created reasonably-priced set menus to help reduce the cost of living for consumers who can place orders for food through the ZEN Delivery 1376 platform with free delivery from today until April 30, 2020, as well as through GET, Grab Food, Food Panda and Lineman delivery applications.

The special promotions offered by each of the brands is different. “ZEN Japanese” restaurants are promoting Norwegian salmon at a special price of 699 baht per piece, 1,199 baht for two pieces and only 2,199 baht for four pieces, from today until March 31, 2020. Also available are value set menus, such as the 350-baht Kushiyakise set, Buri Kama Shioyaki and Saba Shioyaki at 450 baht each and Sakura Karei Karaage for 240 baht with free Japanese rice, Hiyashi Wakame and Kimuji from today until April 30, 2020.

At “Sushi Cyu & Carnival Yakiniku”, a 25-percent discount is implemented for take-home orders only at Thonglor branch. Regular bento delivery service at “Sushi Cyu & Carnival Yakiniku” is also available at reasonable prices of 1,000 baht for two meals and 6,000 baht for one week (14 meals) for delivery only in Sukhumvit, Thonglor and Ekamai areas.

At “AKA Japanese Restaurant”, good-value sets available for delivery are sets of Beef Yakiniku Don or Yakiniku Mala Don with two cups of Miso Soup and Gyuza for 423 baht – a discount from the regular price of 605 baht. Also available are Beef Bulgogi Don or Duck Chashu Don with two cups of Miso Soup and Gyuza for only 381 baht each – a discount from the regular price of 545 baht. All you have to do is order through Grab Food. Meanwhile, the “On the Table Tokyo Café” an overall 25-percent discount is applied for take-home orders from today until April 12, 2020, and “Musha by ZEN” restaurants are offering a 15-percent discount when ordering through Grab Food and GET from today until March 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, “Khiang” made-to-order restaurants are implementing a special promotion by resolving to help the front-line personnel against COVID-19 Corona Virus by offering these heroes free pork or chicken gaprao over rice at all 21 branches from today until April 12, 2020. All you have to do is to show your doctor’s, nurse’s, government official’s, military officer’s identification at the restaurants. (one order per one person per day, and one person per branch per day only)

As for the Company’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that has already been implemented, the kitchen areas of Japanese restaurants under the ZEN brand are being modified into “central kitchens’ for all restaurants in the ZEN Group to support the growing demand for the delivery business. Currently, six branches have been modified at Donki Mall Thonglor, Siam Square One, The Jazz Wanghin, All Season Building, Central Rama 3 and Central Rama 9. The response has been tremendous with orders continuously increasing through the ZEN Delivery 1376 platform and other food delivery applications. This model will be expanded to other areas to support the fast growing delivery business.
